Join us for a 13 minute travel talk with Karen King on today's episode of the Women Traveling Solo Together podcast!
As an introvert it's really difficult to travel alone and when you do, you'd want to have someone who shares the same interest as you. Karen really wanted to travel but can't find friends who share the same time as her or who wants to visit the places she’d likes to. Though traveling alone is possible but she doesn't feel safe going anywhere all by herself especially if she doesn't know the area.
All this changed after she discovers Women Traveling Solo Together on the internet. She decided to give it a try and there she met a lot of women from different backgrounds and personalities - widowed, divorced, extrovert, introverts - all with the desire to travel. People who she could take photos with and share memories while jotting them down on her notebook, something to look back on along the road.
Traveling to different countries taught her not to jump to conclusions and just take a moment to assess situations before making quick assumptions. It also taught her not to take a lot of things for granted and appreciate what other cultures are going through.
