Women Traveling Solo Together

Feb 22, 2019

Join us for a 13-minute travel talk with Lynn O'Connell on today's episode of the Women Traveling Solo Together podcast!

Lynn is a tour leader who has been with Women Traveling Together for over 10 years. She has led groups of women through the Trans Siberian Railway, falcon flying in Scotland, polar bear watching in Canada, and many other adventures.

After making a commitment to herself to stop working so much and take some of the trips on her bucket list, Lynn found herself fully immersed in WTT. And when an opportunity opened for her to become a tour leader, she grabbed it and so began her journey as a WTT tour leader.

The selection process was very intense but learning how to create moments for others and for yourself makes it truly worth it!

Key Takeaways:

  • Tour leaders go through rigorous testing and training to learn how to work with travelers, create moments, the whole WTT system, safety, health, security measures, and general logistics
  • What we endeavor to do on each trip, not just do a trip, not just do a tour, but create memories and unique things that our travelers could not do on their own.
  • One of the interesting and really enjoyable perks of being a tour leader is getting to know each of the travelers
  • When women travel solo together, the relationships built during the trip goes beyond the trip itself
